State Guide to Filing Consumer Complaints

Over the course of history people have had to be concerned with being the victim of scams and fraud from a number of sources. In our past we have had to deal with phony land scams, lottery scams, fraudulent financial transactions and promises for work to be done that was never completed. Over the past centuries these dealings have cost consumers millions upon millions of dollars in lost money. Money which in all likelihood will never be recovered.

With the advent of increased reliance of technology, this has increased the chance of consumers becoming a victim of scams from criminals. With email fraud, phishing schemes, pharming schemes, spoof website and more ways for criminals to fraudulently get money from unsuspecting people, it is important for consumer to know what they have to do to report and stop these activities.
