When it rains it pours
In April 2016 our back room roof leaked, from ice dam build up and continued to leaked when it rained. We called LD Construction to tear off the old roof from the back room and back porch and replace with new including all flashing. Repair chimney bricks and also repair drywall and about 10 feet of the wood ting-and groove on vaulted ceiling inside that was damaged. Total cost $3500.
Mr Davies wanted 1/2 down 1/2 on completion. I gave him 1/3 down 1/3 in the middle of the job and the remaining amount when completed. Gave Mr Davies the down payment and did not see him for 8 weeks by than roof leaked more and more damage had been done.
Called him a number of times asking when he would start the job. Always something was up, other jobs ahead of mine employees sick always something. We asked for are money back so we can get another contractor to do the job. Mr Davies promised that they would be there in one more week to start the job. The roof job finally done.
First rain the back porch roof leaked where in meets the house, no flashing. Mr Davies put blame on the new guy. The crew from LD Construction came back and Mickey Moused the job, Next big rain fall notice our hard wood floors were turning color and starting to buckle up. Guess what the problem was LD Construction did not replace the flashing around chimney and the water was finding a way down the wall under the floor.
Called Mr Davies again told him about the problem he had one of his crew come over to look at the problem and I did not see them again for 5 weeks called Mr Davis a number of times no answer I finally left a message that I was going to file a claim against him with the Better business Bureau.
Mr Davies finally called me back and said that he thought the job was done. Yea right, I told him if someone from his crew or himself did not come over to correct the problem by today that I was going to take league actions.
Job was done, but guess what the roof still leaks.
