Rebate Ripoff - CooperVision

I received my rebate debit card late Novermber 2015. The card came with a typical sticker with instructions on how to activate the card. I’ve attempted to use the card at WalMart, Food Lion, Whole Foods, and several restaurants and every single time, the transaction declined.
My card has now expired. They follow the law and don’t take the funds but simply charge a monthly “service fee” of $3. To get a new card it cost me $6.95. Plus a wait of 15 days. I’m guessing so they can hit me with another $3 charge by the time I get it in the mail.

This has got to be the most inconvenient and difficult rebate I have ever encountered! I will be submitting a complaint to my provider’s office and telling everyone I know about my experience with this company.
