CAR REPAIRS AFTER FILLING UP WITH GAS - Shell

On March 31st I filled up (from near empty) my car with gasoline at the Shell Gas Station at the corner of Windward Parkway and Windward Plaza in Alpharetta, GA. I drove home to my locked garage. The next time I tried to use the car it would not start.

To cut a long story short, I had the car towed to an auto repair shop, and they eventually arrived at the conclusion that the cause was bad gas. I had no option but to proceed with having the gas tank removed and drained, and replacing the plugs. After re-fueling the car was operational again.

I reported it to Shell, but they mentioned that the station was supplied gas by an independent distributor and they have not so far shown an interest in helping address the issue. I am out $650.

I feel pretty strongly about the incident, and intend to continue pursuing it. That is my most used station, and I can’t go back to buy fuel there for fear of this happening again sometime in the future.
