Rite Aid Sucks!
To whom it may concern,
I took my sons to the doctor on Oct 9, both had an upper respiratory infection and both were prescribed the same medication azitromycin. a antibiotic as they are both young 5 and 3.I was giving it to them the past few days and i noticed i ran out of medication for the 5 year old as i was following the instructions left by the pharmacist on the both to give him 2 1/2 tsp (which is an adult dose i was later informed) when it should have been 2.5 ml which i didn’t find out till yest.
I called up the filling pharmacy and the pharmacist preceded to argue with me telling me i dont know how to read and said it was impossible that i should have had enough. I got home yest and called up the pharmacy again and this pharmacist did the same thing telling me i dont know how to read. I drove down their trying to contain myself, shoved the box in the pharmacists face and said i dont know how to read, take a look at it yourself. “you guys f***ed up now fix it. I also informed Rite Aid”s district manager that if this is not taken care of to my satisfaction i will take this further.
I HAVE THE ORIGINAL BOX AS PROOF I KEPT IT FOR THAT REASON.
I spoke to my child’s doctor last night to see if the error was his and it was not he wrote it on the script at 2.5ml, rite aid screwed up. His doctor gave rite aid an earful as well as he heard of the error. Rite Aid wanted to bill my insurance for their screw up.
I informed the store manager of the same what had happened. I informed Rite Aid”s corporate as well as the district manager regarding this grievous error. This is a child, this should not be happening.I want something done about this.I have RETAINED LEGAL COUNSEL TO MAKE SURE MY SON IS PROTECTED.
As a result now, my son has had an upset stomach the past few days.. I AWAIT A SATISFACTORY RESPONSE.
