NuWave PIC – Ripped off by deceptive ad
I saw an infomercial on TV for the PIC cooktop. The offer was for a cooktop, recipe book, quick start guide, and DVD. Then additional gifts were offered for S&H. They were a 3-1/2 qt. saucepot with a glass lid, a 9″ omelet pan and a 10″ saucepan. Also, an additional set containing all of the above could be purchased for just the S&H. I placed an order in July for the offer of two for the price of one and received one cooktop but no pots. I also received a letter stating that due to the volume of orders, they were delayed in shipping the rest of the order, and that I would receive it ASAP. I called the company in August and told them I had not received the rest of the order. They then shipped me a second cooktop and that was all. When I called (many times), I always got a menu that finally ended up with the statement that my order had been shipped. I finally managed to get a human being named Sandra, a CSR, who did not satisfy my request. She told me the order was filled and that if I wanted the pots, I had to pay an additional $69.95. I e-mailed her back and said that was NOT satisfactory, but haven’t heard anything from her since then. It has been over 2 weeks. I wrote a letter to the VP of Sales and Marketing and enclosed copies of the e-mails and the letter, but have not heard anything from him. That was a week ago. The infomercial was on yesterday morning again, so I called the number and pretended that I was going to order. After the girl took the information, I asked her what I would get and she mentioned the cooktop but nothing else. Her computer screen just had the cooktop. I am determined to get this resolved but it seems as though I’m up against a brick wall. I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from NuWave or Hearthware Inc.

I am so sorry to hear about everyone's complaints. I have ordered all of the things advertised and have had no trouble at all…as of yet. Both my pics and cookware sets were delivered on two consecutive days. I know the prices are high but I am a shut in and unable to go shopping. So this is really convenient for me.
